[Jubilee!Jam] The Bailey Bros. (6.19.09)
it took me forever, but here’s the beginning of my Jubilee!Jam photos
i photographed 7 acts over two days.
if i posted everything in one post i think my computer would crack in half.
so, instead of one Scenes Around Jackson post a week, this week will have a post everyday of the week!
each day will be one of the acts, going in the order i shot them.
these posts will probably be light on text. only so many times i can say “man, it was hot as hell those two days! see this photo? this is when a river of sweat was running down my back. ahh, good times!”
so, here’s the order:
Monday: The Bailey Bros.
Tuesday: Obeyjah & The Pearls
Wednesday: Quills
Thursday: 5th Child
Friday: 7even:Thirty
(yes, i know 7even:Thirty and 5th Child were a combo act. but they each had their own acts so they each get their own days)
Saturday: Joan Jett and the Blackhearts
Sunday: David Banner
*whew!*
well! let’s get started.

my shooting day on friday june 19th started of with The Bailey Bros.

and it was a fine way to start

as you can see from the background, the Bros. were rocking the Trustmark Stage.

in fact, all the acts i shot on friday were on the Trustmark Stage.

The Bailey Bros. rocked it.

but then, if you clicked on their myspace link i linked to, you’ve already heard a taste

they put on a great live show

the kind of show where you’re nodding your head and tapping your feet while you shoot

the two brothers, going for it

what were they going for?

rock and roll and the blues.
(always try and get the drummer!)

(and don’t forget the keyboarder!)

the stage lighting was really well done

rocking the bass

i dug that keyboard.

making that guitar sing

and as the sun starts to set (their show started at 7:10pm) the Bros. keep rocking

(couldn’t decide which vertical of Chris i liked better so i used them both.)

about to start wrapping it up.

and by “wrapping it up” i mean my photos

the Double Bs kept rocking even after i got all my shots

that’s just how they roll

The Bailey Bros. ladies and gentlemen!
tomorrow; Obeyjah & The Pearls!
have a good one everyone!
see ya next post!
